Mentoplasty is chin aesthetic surgery.

The chin is reshaped and made more compatible with the face.

This application is done in two ways.

In the first technique, the tip of the jawbone is shifted forward.

In the second technique, an implant is placed on the chin tip.

Depending on the operation, sedo anesthesia or general anesthesia is used. The incision is made under the chin or inside the mouth.

The operation takes up to 1 hour. After the operation, pressure dressing is applied for 2 days and free dressing is applied for 5 days.

Stitches are removed on the 7th day. If the incision is made through the mouth, absorbable sutures are used and it is important that the patient is fed with soft foods for 2-3 days.
